The Georgia Capitol Museum documents the history of the building itself as well as the history of Georgia events, including colonization, the revolution, and westward expansion. The guided tour will also discuss the lawmaking process in the state of Georgia. Exhibits are on the fourth floor, but we will be able to visit memorials and artwork displayed throughout the building. Visitors must show a state issued ID or driver’s license for admittance. No extra bags or food is allowed.
For those who would like to eat lunch together before the tour, we will meet at the church at 10:45. Order a box lunch or bring your own! For transportation to the museum, we will meet in the lower level of the church parking lot at 11:25 in order to arrive at the museum by noon, when the tour will begin. We expect to return to the church around 1:30. Please join us!
